Dhankuta is a hill town and the headquarter of Koshi zone located in Dhankuta District of Eastern Nepal. It is quite a large town with stunning views of famous mountains like Mount Kanchanjunga and Mount Makalu. Dhankuta Bazzar, on the north-south Koshi highway is one of the famous market area and trading center, serving the remote hinterlands of the Arun valley and Bhojpur. Villagers walk for many days from the surrounding districts to trade in here.

Excellent hotel of this class...newer property and kept extremely clean. Front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast area is spacious and one of the best in Dhankuta.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Murchunga. The room was clean and cozy. Staff were good and the sitting area downstairs was a nice way to have a drink and enjoy the fire. The view of Mount Kanchanjunga and Mount Makalu was breath taking.
